Gallipolis is a beautiful little town voted one of the “Best Home Towns” by Ohio Magazine for the 2019-2020 season. Whether it’s our award winning “Gallipolis in Lights” Christmas display, the beautiful downtown City Park, inviting waterfront view of the Ohio River or O.O. McIntyre Park, you will not be disappointed!
If you plan on visiting our little town you notice our deep history (Founded in 1790 by “The French 500”), lively arts scene (French Art Colony, Ariel Theatre Opera House, Our House Tavern Museum), civic pride, and friendly small town vibe. There are plenty of things to do in our area if you plan on traveling through or to our region. Be sure to check in with the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau for all the latest events and activities county wide.
Gallipolis is home to notable people such as Bob Evans (Founder of Bob Evans Restaurants), Syndicated columnist O.O. McIntyre, and founder of Gallipolis and leader of “The French 500” Jean-Joseph de Barth. If you are looking to move to our area or just passing through please reach out to me, Jon Jones, Broker, Realtor and I would be happy to discuss our beautiful little town.
